Abrasive Wheels Training Course Aim:

To provide abrasive wheels training course participants with the knowledge, skills and attitude to enable operative use of the abrasive wheel safely. It also provides an understanding of abrasive wheels instructing delegates in all aspects of the correct mounting, setting and use of abrasive wheels.

 

Course Objectives:

On completion of this course, learners will be able to:

• List the legal requirements of working with Abrasive Wheels

• Select the appropriate wheel or cutting disc for the task

• Correctly use & mount an Abrasive Wheel

• Understand the function of the Abrasive Wheel fixed or portable

Content
• Abrasive Wheel Regulations
• Identify the hazards of working with Abrasive Wheels
• Evaluate the causes of abrasive wheel accidents
• Define the method of selecting the correct wheel for the job
• Inspection and testing of the abrasive wheel
• Guarding of the grinding and cutting operations
• Differences between grinding and cutting operations

 

Duration: 1/2 Day

Participants: Up to 12

Assessment: Written exam and practical assessment

Accreditation: 3 Year Prestige Training Certification
